Edison Motors Celebrates Shop Grand Opening, Record-Breaking EV Go-Kart Challenge, and Leadership Updates

Donald, British Columbia, June 10, 2026. This past weekend, Edison Motors hosted the grand opening of its new factory alongside its annual Go-Kart Day event. The company is proud to announce the continued success of its third annual Electric Go-Kart Challenge, which brought together over 250 attendees, including students, families, and electric vehicle enthusiasts from across Canada. The event highlighted innovation, hands-on learning, and excitement around electric mobility, reinforcing Edison Motors’ commitment to community engagement and the future of sustainable transportation.

The annual challenge has become a cornerstone event for Edison Motors, showcasing grassroots innovation and inspiring the next generation of engineers, builders, and clean energy advocates. This year marked the largest turnout to date, reflecting strong community support and increasing interest in electric vehicle technology.

Alongside this momentum, Edison Motors is entering its next phase of growth with an evolution in leadership designed to support the company’s expanding operations and long-term vision.

The Board of Directors has re-appointed Chace Barber as Chief Executive Officer, continuing his leadership and strategic direction as the company scales its manufacturing and market presence. Theron Groff has been appointed President, focusing on long-term strategy, values-driven decision-making, and stewardship of the company’s brand and public narrative. Katie Graham has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, strengthening the company’s financial oversight and capital strategy. Raymond Matkin has been appointed Executive Vice President of Edison Defence to continue overseeing the company’s defence-related initiatives. Richard Bosch will continue in his role as Executive Vice President of Pickups and has also been added to the Board of Directors. Although Eric Little is no longer part of the executive team, he is remaining on the Board of Directors. The company appreciates his hard work to date and looks forward to his continued support in achieving Edison’s goals.
