Subject to final regulatory and product decisions, we are working toward offering the conversion as a complete Edison rolling chassis: a skateboard platform with the diesel-electric powertrain integrated.

Product goal?
Bring the diesel-electric technology from our semi trucks to the heavy-duty pickup market: no range anxiety. Conversions will be installed & serviced by Edison dealers throughout North America.
Will it be a retrofit of my existing truck?
Subject to final regulatory and product decisions, we are working toward offering the conversion as a complete Edison rolling chassis with the diesel-electric powertrain integrated. Development is still under way, so we won't state anything for certain before those decisions are final.
What is the production timeline?
The Pickup Chassis (Class 5) requires Transport Canada certification and Environment Canada approval to use our selected Perkins 3.6L engine. Timeframe to market is unknown. We are currently building prototypes internally to reach commercialization.
What is the estimated cost of a chassis?
Depending on options, the chassis will ideally retail for a third to half the cost of a new pickup. Fuel savings of 30% anticipated, helping drive economics.
What do I get for reserving a chassis?
You help fund the development of a pickup chassis from Edison Motors. You reserve a place in line to purchase a chassis when they become available (transferable but not refundable). You get project specific merch (the project name will be voted). The amount for the reservation is deducted from final purchase price.
Is the chassis only for sale in Canada?
The chassis will be exclusively distributed in Canada & The United States. We anticipate growing our dealership network internationally, driven purely from demand.
