Based on building around the needs of the customer each Edison Truck is built by hand to the customers requirements.
Being a small truck manufacture is not our weakness but our strength, each truck is built by hand to meet the customers requirements.
Our simple 5 step manufacturing process consists of:
Frame & rolling chassis prep and built. Where the frame rails laid out, cross members and suspension attached to customers specification
Axle installation. The e-axles are then attached to the frame and it is sent off to the paint booth to be painted and protected
High Voltage system installation, this is the installation of the batteries and optional range extended generator
Cab assemble and mounting, the cab is pre-wired with the electric control units at the same time the chassis is being made. Once it is finished the cab and hood are painted and mounted to the truck.
Final touches, the 12 volt system is installed and final prep touches are made to finish the truck
Truck testing, these trucks are subjected to a 1000km test drive before being allowed to be delivered to the customer. Most new truck problems can be found in the first 1000km, when an Edison Truck arrives at the customer it has been fully tested and ready to go to work.

Much like the Pacific trucks of the 1960’s and 1970’s. The Edison trucks are designed to be able to last, we understand the more uptime the truck sees and the longer it’s service life the better the Return on Investment is in the truck.

We let the engineers decided what components the truck needs for the electrical side, then we have experienced mechanics tell us what parts and being used and where those parts are going.
Our mechanics are use to working on logging trucks that are broken down in the middle of the bush, they know they’re the ones who will have to go repair them. We believe that nobody is better are make sure the truck is reliable and easy to fix as the ones who have to lay in snow at -40’ below or in spring mud.
Don’t kid yourself, these are the most efficient & modern trucks you can possible buy on the market today, but they’re made to be fixed in the bush. Our truck is high tech so your shop doesn’t have to be.
